The daily plan for the toddler classroom involves incorporating a mix of structured and unstructured activities to address their developmental needs:

Toddler Classroom Daily Plan: 

Morning:

1.      Arrival and Welcome (6:30 am - 8:00 am):
  • Greet each toddler warmly upon arrival.
  • Provide a transition activity to help them settle in (e.g., a welcoming circle time).
  • Offer a nutritious snack sent by the parents
  • Use this time for socialization and promoting self-help skills.
2.      Free Play (8:00 am - 9:30 am): 
  • Morning Snack Time/breakfast provided by parents. 
  • Set up different play stations with age-appropriate toys. 
  • Encourage social interaction and cooperation. 
  • Rotate materials regularly to keep things interesting. 
  • Provide age-appropriate climbing structures, balls, and other play equipment.
  • Encourage gross motor skill development.
Late Morning: 

3.      Circle Time (9:30 am - 10:30 am): 
  • Outdoor Play; allow toddlers to play in a safe outdoor environment. 
  • Engage toddlers in songs, rhymes, and simple interactive activities. 
  • Introduce a theme or topic for the day. 

4.      Art and Creativity (10:30 am - 11:00 am): 
  • Provide art materials for creative expression. 
  • Encourage toddlers to explore different textures, colors, and shapes. 
  • Display their artwork in the classroom. 

Afternoon: 

5.      Lunch Time (11:00 pm – 11:30 am): 
  • Serve a balanced and nutritious lunch sent by the parents. 
  • Encourage self-feeding and good table manners. 
  • Change diapers, or use the potty and wash hands 

6.      Nap/Rest Time (12:00 pm – 2:00 pm): 
  • Create a comfortable nap area with individual mats or cots. 
  • Allow for quiet activities for those not napping. 

Late Afternoon: 

7.      Snack Time  (2:30 pm – 3:00 pm): 
  • Offer a light snack provided by parents.

8.      Sensory Play (3:00 pm - 3:30 pm): 
  • Set up sensory activities like playdough, water play, or sand. 
  • Rotate sensory experiences to stimulate different senses. 

9.      Story Time (3:30 pm - 4:00 pm): 
  • Read age-appropriate books aloud. 
  • Encourage interaction by asking questions about the story. 
  • Music and Movement 
  • Engage toddlers in music and movement activities. 
  • Use simple songs and dance to promote coordination and rhythm. 

10.   Outdoor Time (4:00 pm - 5:00 pm): 
  • Weather permitting, take toddlers outside for fresh air. 
  • Provide a safe space for exploration and sensory experiences. 

11.   Parent Pick-Up and Departure (5:00 pm - 5:30 pm): 
  • Share highlights of the day with parents. 
  • Provide any necessary information or updates. Engage in brief conversations with parents during pick-up.
